University of Utah Tailgate
This tailgate is one of the oldest and most celebrated tailgate crews at the University of Utah, and one of the finest in all of college football. This enthusiastic group is famously known for mixing up the best pre-game food in the state and has had the privilege to cook for the ESPN Gameday crew on two different occasions. A tailgate menu featuring whole roasted pigs, leg of lamb, bacon explosions, and a myriad of other inventive culinary concoctions is designed to keep their guests in awe and wanting to return again in the future.
In 2005 this group purchased a gently used, 1987 Bluebird school bus from the Humboldt County School district and after an epic road trip across northern California and Nevada, they lovingly transformed her into Porky, their mobile HQ and Mascot and the backdrop for many visiting fans’ instagram posts.
Step into Porky and join the party, or shade yourself under two 10” X 10” tents. Drinks (alcoholic and nonalcoholic) are provided as well as the aforementioned food menu. Music varies between a live band and recorded, but there is always something going on. Expect the party to begin approximately 5-6 hours prior to kickoff with them shutting it down minutes before the game begins.
Come see for yourself if this isn't one of the best tailgates you've ever attended.
